Relax, Reflect, Restore, and Respirate

This past weekend was a wonderful combination of Energy and relaxation. It began on Friday evening with a relaxing outing to view Handel’s Messiah performed by the Phoenix Symphony at St. Mary’s Basilica in Downtown Phoenix. I am a big classical music fan, and this was a wonderful holiday performance that I really enjoyed.
Saturday morning I taught classes at Peaks Athletic, and then a wonderful energizing 2 hr. Led Primary series Ashtanga class at LifePower. There was so much positive energy in the class. It was all provided by the participants who ranged from new practitioners to experienced ashtangis. I am grateful to all of them. I left that class feeling refreshed and energized. That energy carried me right into my 4:15pm Power class at Gainey Village. It was an energetic 90 min. practice of power and strength. I was sorry to miss the Grand opening party for the new Lululemon store at the Scottsdale Quarter that was going on Sat. night, but I had committed to deal cards that night for some extra holiday money, and was there from 7:30pm – 11:00pm.
Sunday morning led me to the kundalini yoga practice at the Elevation Institute that I regularly attend every Sunday. The set that was done was very meditative, and I left feeling relaxed and at ease. I am going to carry this feeling of ease with me into a seminar next Sunday. It will be two hours of Relaxation, Restorative poses, Reflection on the present holidays, and past year, and an exploration into some breathing techniques to bring focus and calm. It will be held at Peaks Athletic in Fountain Hills. Non members are welcome. Here is the flyer for it.
